MOUNTAINS & VALLEYS

With the help of a book I have called Folding Techniques for Designers, I folded this herringbone pattern out of a sheet of paper while watching the Olympics last night on Tv. I like the geometric creases created in the paper before it's eased into the mountain and valley folds, and that you can still see these construction lines in it once it's made. I'm not sure whether this skill will come in handy at any point... but you never know! I was inspired to get folding after seeing something similar at the brilliant Bauhaus exhibition at the Barbican - on until the 12th of August and definitely worth a visit.
